Mission Statement

Down Jersey Coalition is a nonpartisan group composed primarily of residents of New Jersey's 2nd Congressional District. DJC was created by citizens concerned about the crisis our country is experiencing under the current administration.

We are committed to using our voices, individually and collectively, to resist the destruction of government programs and the values our country was built upon in a positive and constructive manner.

Membership is open to NJ 2nd Congressional District residents and others who share our core concerns.

From Our Friends at CATA:

In honor of National Farmworkers Day

(it was March 31, 2026)

Seasonal farmworkers and their families are arriving in Cumberland County soon.

They harvest our food… but can’t always afford basic essentials.

Every season, we meet immigrant workers who are working hard to support our communities, yet still struggle to afford everyday items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and deodorant.

With rising living costs, injuries, transportation challenges, and low wages, many families are facing even greater hardship this year, especially as some workers see their wages reduced.

Last year alone, we reached over 1,400 immigrant workers across 80 locations in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

 You can help.

We’ve created an Amazon Wishlist  with essential toiletries to support immigrant worker families.

 Donate here: https://buff.ly/OVufZJ3

Every item makes a difference. Thank you for standing with immigrant workers.
